THAILAND MAKES HISTORY! Suchata "Opal" Chuangsri Crowned Miss World 2025!

A momentous occasion for Thailand! Our very own Miss World Thailand, Suchata "Opal" Chuangsri, has been crowned the 72nd Miss World in Hyderabad, India! Opal, a 22-year-old political science student and the visionary behind "Opal for Her" (supporting women with breast cancer), bested 108 contestants to bring home this historic title – a first for Thailand!

Meet the New Miss World: Opal Chuangsri!

Standing tall at 180cm, Opal Chuangsri hails from the beautiful southern island province of Phuket, where her family runs a business in the charming old town. This accomplished young woman is currently studying international relations at Thammasat University and is fluent in Chinese, English, and Thai!

The Miss World pageant on Saturday was a thrilling journey, narrowing down contestants from four continental regions: Africa, the Americas & Caribbean, Asia & Oceania, and Europe. While Opal took the crown, the deserving first runner-up was Hasset Dereje from Ethiopia, followed by Maja Klajda from Poland and Aurélie Joachim from Martinique.
