Thailand Goes Digital: New Online Arrival Card Launches May 1st, 2025

Get ready for a smoother entry into Thailand! Starting May 1, 2025, the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) system will officially replace the traditional paper TM.6 arrival card. This means all foreign visitors, whether arriving by air, land, or sea, must submit their arrival information electronically before entering the country.

The TDAC is a key part of Thailand's digital transformation, designed to streamline immigration, reduce paperwork, and make your arrival more convenient. You'll need to complete this mandatory online form with your essential travel and personal details before you arrive.

Who needs to submit the TDAC?

All foreign passport holders, including tourists, business travelers, and long-term residents, must complete the TDAC. The only exceptions are travelers transiting through Thailand without passing immigration control or those entering with a Border Pass.

When to submit:

You can submit your TDAC up to three days before your scheduled arrival. For example, if you're arriving on May 5th, you can submit starting May 2nd. The system will open early on April 28th for those arriving on the May 1st launch date.

How to complete the TDAC:

You can submit individually or as part of a group, and you can update your information anytime before your trip. You'll need to provide passport details, personal and travel information, your accommodation in Thailand, and a basic health declaration. Long-term residents should select "Thailand" as their "Country of Residence" once the system is live.

What if you can't submit in advance?

While strongly encouraged to complete the TDAC online beforehand to avoid delays, assistance will be available at designated help points at immigration checkpoints for those truly unable to submit in advance or without internet access at the point of entry.
