Thailand Launches "Mueang Na Tiew: Year of Celebration" to Boost Domestic Tourism

Bangkok, Thailand – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has launched “Mueang Na Tiew: Year of Celebration,” a new nationwide campaign to invigorate domestic travel during the 2025 Green Season (June–September). This initiative aims to draw Thai travelers to 55 secondary cities through 12 distinct themed experiences and exclusive promotions.
Relaxation and Adventure: From peaceful getaways for busy professionals to adrenaline-fueled adventures for thrill-seekers.
Creative and Romantic Escapes: Scenic destinations for content creators and romantic backdrops for LGBTQ+ couples.
Empowering Solo Female Travelers: Promoting independence and exploration.
Nature and Wellness: Opportunities to unplug and reconnect with nature, alongside water-based activities like rafting, snorkeling, and stand-up paddleboarding.
Active Seniors: Encouraging energizing, experience-rich journeys to tick off travel bucket lists.
Culinary Delights: Celebrating regional Thai BBQ hotspots and immersive culinary journeys highlighting local flavors.
Family and Pet-Friendly Travel: Promoting meaningful family trips during Mother’s Day and inviting pet owners to explore with their companions.

Air Travel: Fare discounts from VietJet Air (15%), Thai Lion Air (up to 25%), and Nok Air, plus bonus miles from Royal Orchid Holidays.
Accommodation: Deals through platforms like Gother and Patois, and 30% off select accommodations from the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT).

As part of the broader Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year 2025, this campaign targets 250,000 travelers, aims to reach over 10 million people, and is projected to generate at least 500 million baht in direct revenue. It also contributes to Thailand’s national tourism goal of 1.17 trillion Baht and 205 million domestic trips by year-end.
